Sweet as Sugar was founded in 2007 by Perth’s Antonietta Italiano and Diana Kim. After a few months filled with request from friends and family for their beautiful hand crafted, home made cupcakes, Sweet as Sugar was born. As more and more colleagues, relatives and strangers began to request their cupcakes, it became clear that there was something more to this than just a hobby.

Upon mass request, Diana and Antonietta’s love for hand crafted home made cupcakes blossomed into a custom dessert catering business, pledging to develop the business as a socially conscious enterprise supporting and sustaining the community around it. Sweet as Sugar supports the Breast Cancer foundation of Perth by pledging proceeds from every purple cupcake that is sold.

Currently Sweet as Sugar Cupcakes can be found at many corporate parties, weddings, movie premieres, gala benefits and other fetes. Just as important though, our cupcakes are meant as well for backyard BBQs, children’s birthday parties, thank you gifts, baby and wedding showers, engagement parties, retirement parties, and any other family get togethers.

Sweet as Sugar became specialists in creating the finest, irresistibly tasty gourmet cupcakes you will find. All of our cup cakes are hand made using the freshest, premium quality ingredients, with our tried and tested recipes.

As well as our great tasting cupcakes, Sweet as Sugar also create couture celebration cakes to suit any occasion, theme or celebration which again have proven to be a highly requested order on our menu.
